Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have had an up-and-down start so far.
Chris Sutton has told The Scotsman that Graham Dorrans and Bruno Alves are “good signings” for Rangers but again questioned Pedro Caixinha’s claims that he boasts the best squad in the Scottish Premiership.
The Rangers manager made headlines last month when he suggested that he had a better squad at his disposal than any other Premiership manager – including Brendan Rodgers at Celtic.
As expected, the claims did not go down well and the Gers have done little to back up the 46-year-old’s suggestions on the pitch, with Caixinha’s side winning two of their first four league games thus far.
Alfredo Morelos, who has three league goals, has looked a very decent addition, having scored 40 times in 54 games for HJK Helsinki, but the Celtic legend says that Dorrans and Alves are the two stand-out signings for him.
He told The Scotsman: “I actually think that Bruno Alves is a good signing. I think Graham Dorrans is a good signing.
“But come on, the best squad in Scotland.Do yourself a favour Pedro Caixinha. He’s beginning to sound a bit like David Icke.”
Indeed, Dorrans and Alves, along with Kenny Miller, are two vastly experienced players and they will undoubtedly play a big role in anything the Ibrox side achieve this season.
Then again, Morelos, who has five goals in all competitions, is also looking like the real deal. People questioned whether Caixinha’s foreign imports could adapt to Scottish football and he is certainly among those to take it by storm so far.
