Glasgow Rangers manager Graeme Murty failed to guide the Gers to victory in the Old Firm derby last weekend.
Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 58 points from 30 matches.
The Gers are nine points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.
Murty’s side could have closed the gap last weekend had they won the Old Firm derby against Celtic at Ibrox.
Former Celtic striker Sutton, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, believes that questions will be asked of Murty if Rangers lose a couple of more matches.
Sutton said on the Scottish Football Extra show on BT Sport 1 on Friday evening (7:09pm, March 16, 2018): “Graeme Murty has to really go on a good run till the end of the season because another couple of loses, a poor end to the season, and there will be question marks again on Graeme Murty.”
Have a little patience
Rangers should have won against Celtic last weekend or at least drawn, given that Brendan Rodgers’s side played most of the second half with 10 men.
Murty’s substitutions last Sunday afternoon were questionable, but the Rangers boss should be shown some patience and afforded time.
The 43-year-old is a very young manager, and he is still learning, and fans need to be patient with him.
If Rangers finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season, as they likely will, then it should be considered a successful campaign.
