Eboue Kouassi joined Celtic 12 months ago but hasn’t set the world alight from Glasgow.

Chris Sutton has told The Record that he hasn’t been impressed by Eboue Kouassi since joining Celtic 12 months ago.
The Hoops shelled out £2.8 million (The Daily Mail) on bringing the 20-year-old from Krasnodar last January.
But fast forward a year and Celtic fans haven’t seen a great deal from the Ivorian midfielder, who has only managed nine appearances in all competitions since.

Such is Kouassi’s low-profile first year under Brendan Rodgers, speculation has mounted that the Northern Irish manager could loan him out and The Scottish Sun names four clubs that would be interested in taking him on a short-term basis.
Nevertheless, Celtic legend Sutton suggests that he’s been underwhelmed by the young midfielder.

“They’ve had a few right under Brendan but quite a few wrong as well – such as Kundai Benyu and Eboue Kouassi,” he told The Record.
“I know people will turn round and say they are development players but you can’t tell us Kouassi has developed the way everyone would have wanted considering they spent a fee in the region of £2.5m for him.”
