Chris Sutton thinks Brendan Rodgers is spoilt for riches with Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele in attack.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton
Former Celtic striker and current pundit Chris Sutton claims striker Moussa Dembele has given Brendan Rodgers a good problem after his performance against Rangers.
Celtic hammered their Old Firm rivals Rangers 5-1 at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon, with Dembele smashing a superb hat-trick.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele celebrates
His first-half brace had Celtic cruising, and whilst Joe Garner pulled one back for Rangers, Scott Sinclair and Stuart Armstrong found the net either side of Dembele’s hat-trick goal.
Many players impressed for Brendan Rodgers’ side, but striker Dembele unsurprisingly stole the headlines with his display in front of goal.
Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths in action
The 20-year-old striker, snapped up at the end of his Fulham contract this past summer, had largely been used as Leigh Griffiths’ backup so far this season, but was thrust into the line-up with Griffiths out through injury.
Dembele certainly seized his chance as he terrorised Rangers with his pace and power, but questions are now being asked about whether Dembele will keep his place in the team ahead of Griffiths.

Griffiths hit 40 goals last season, and former striker Chris Sutton took to Twitter to answer questions on who will be Celtic’s first-choice striker moving forward.
Sutton stated that, if nothing else, Dembele has presented Rodgers with a ‘good problem to have’, and one that former manager Ronny Deila didn’t have last season, as Griffiths was run into the ground due to a lack of other options in attack.
Do you think Dembele of Griffiths should be Celtic’s first-choice striker?
