Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers have sold Barrie McKay to Nottingham Forest, while Ibrox forward Michael O’Halloran has joined St Johnstone on loan in the summer transfer window.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has asked on social networking site Twitter whether Rangers should have let go of Barrie McKay and Michael O’Halloran.
McKay and O’Halloran have left Rangers for Nottingham Forest and St Johnstone respectively in the summer transfer window.
While the sale of the 22-year-old winger to Forest in the Championship in England saw the Gers bag £500,000 in transfer fees, as reported by BBC Sport, 26-year-old forward O’Halloran has moved to Scottish Premiership rivals St Johnstone on loan until January.

Both McKay and O’Halloran scored for their respective new clubs this weekend. While the winger scored the only goal in Forest’s 1-0 victory over Millwall at the City Ground last Friday evening, the forward found the target in St Johnstone’s 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Former Celtic striker Sutton has asked on Twitter whether Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers should have let go of McKay and O’Halloran in the summer transfer window, with some of the Gers fans responding to his message on the social networking site.
