Celtic remain top of the Scottish Premiership table after beating Aberdeen 4-0 at Pittodrie on Sunday afternoon.

The Bhoys picked up a dramatic 2-1 win over Lazio on Thursday evening, and a trip over to Aberdeen didn’t exactly look like the ideal game or trip.

However, Celtic were in blistering form in the first half, as Odsonne Edouard and Jeremie Frimpong got themselves on the scoresheet in the first 15 minutes.

James Forrest finished off a fine passing move to make it 3-0, and Mohamed Elyounoussi added the fourth before half time to put Celtic 4-0 up – and that’s how it stayed.

Neil Lennon will have been delighted with such a convincing win, and with the performance of teenage right back Frimpong.

The 18-year-old only joined Celtic from Manchester City at the beginning of last month, but has shown real promise and quality in his limited appearances.

After a goalscoring display, Frimpong spoke to BT Sport and gave an excitable interview, with Celtic fans loving the energy in the Dutchman’s reaction to the game.

Chris Sutton took to Twitter to offer just three words in reaction to the interview, saying ‘what a character’, whilst another former Celtic striker, Tony Watt, suggested that Frimpong is now his new favourite player after his interview.
