Celtic lost 7-0 to Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Celtic heroes Chris Sutton and John Hartson have taken to Twitter in order to react to the Bhoys’ 7-0 Champions League defeat to Barcelona.
Lionel Messi opened the scoring for Barcelona after just three minutes, and Celtic squandered their opportunity to equalise when Moussa Dembele had his penalty saved by Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

Messi capitalised shortly after to make it 2-0, and Luis Enrique’s men were on fire in the second half as Neymar, Andres Iniesta and Messi all struck within ten minutes to put Barcelona 5-0 up, and two late Luis Suarez goals rounded off a 7-0 thumping.
It was far from the ideal start to Celtic’s Champions League campaign, but facing Barcelona was always going to be a tough ask for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

After hammering Old Firm rivals Rangers 5-1 on Saturday, Celtic have come crashing back down to earth, and will now have to pick themselves up for this weekend’s Scottish Premiership clash with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Following the final whistle at the Camp Nou on Tuesday evening, Celtic heroes Chris Sutton and John Hartson both took to Twitter to give their views on the defeat.

Sutton noted that it was never going to be easy for Celtic to get anything out their game with Barcelona, and having acknowledged that the Catalan giants can destroy any team like they did against Celtic, he added that it’s a huge step for Rodgers to even get the club into the group stage.
Meanwhile, Hartson stated that Celtic need to dust themselves down and go again, after what was a ‘difficult night’ in Catalunya.
