Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers will face Old Firm rivals and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
Rangers will return to Scottish Premiership action this coming weekend when they take on Old Firm rivals Celtic at Ibrox.
The Gers are third in the league table at the moment with 11 points from five matches, five points behind leaders Celtic.
Despite the fact that they will be the visiting team, the Hoops will head into the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon as favourites.
Celtic are unbeaten in the league this season, and just like during the 2016-17 campaign, they may not lose a league fixture this term.
The Bhoys have the best squad in Scotland and have some wonderful players, such as Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele.
Playing at home, though, will be an advantage for Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers, who will be cheered on by the 50,000 or so home fans.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has suggested that Josh Windass should be deployed on the left-hand side of Rangers’ midfield instead of Niko Kranjcar.
Ex-Rangers striker and manager Ally McCoist is of the same opinion, while former Motherwell and Partick Thistle defender Stephen Craigan believes that Kranjcar does not have legs or the fitness anymore.
“Kranjcar hasn’t got the energy or the fitness I don’t think anymore to play it, I don’t think,” Craigan told BT Sport about Kranjcar.
“All day Windass,” said McCoist when asked who should start against Celtic – Windass or Kranjcar.
“Kranjcar has been an unbelievable player, brilliant footballer, but I just think against Celtic they need legs in there and Windass has better legs,” said Sutton.
