Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the draw for Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers with Villarreal at Ibrox.
Rangers played out a goalless draw with Spanish club Villarreal at Ibrox in the Europa League Group G on Thursday evening.
The Gers played the entire season half with just 10 men due to the dismissal of Daniel Candeias on 44 minutes.
Former Celtic striker Sutton was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the draw for Rangers.
Alex Rae was also following the game, and the former Rangers midfielder has given his reaction to the final result on Twitter.
Rae has also praised Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor for his performance between the sticks, and has claimed that the 2018 summer signing was “sensational”.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ibrox on Thursday evening, hosts Rangers had 35% of the possession, took eight shots of which two were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
Rangers are third in Europa League Group G with six points from five matches, a point behind Villarreal and Rapid Vienna, who are first and second respectively in the standings.
