Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos was booked for diving during their Scottish Cup tie against Aberdeen in midweek.
During the first half of the Scottish Cup fifth-round replay at Ibrox on Tuesday evening, Morelos was shown a yellow card by referee Kevin Clancy for going down inside the box.
There was some contact from Aberdeen defender Andrew Considine, and Rangers decided to appeal against the yellow card.
According to BBC Sport, at a hearing on Friday morning, Rangers’s appeal against the yellow card issued to Morelos has been turned down.
Former Rangers midfielder Alex Rae has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the decision, and so has ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton, who has also slammed 22-year-old Colombia international forward Morelos.

Morelos has made 24 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring 16 goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 59 points from 29 matches, as many as eight points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic.
