Tottenham Hotspur are bang in form at the minute.
Chris Sutton has told The Mail that he’s a big fan of Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham flashed their Premier League title credentials with a 2-0 win over Manchester City at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
The victory saw Pochettino’s side move second in the Premier League table, one point high-flying City, who had won all six league games before their trip to North London.
The man who scored Spurs’ second, Dele Alli, is in his second full season with the Lilywhites after the Argentine showed a huge amount of faith in him last term by giving the then-19-year-old chances to impress in the senior set-up.
Pochettino, 44, is one of the most promising young managers in Europe, and Sutton admits he’s a big fan of how the South American works.
“Tottenham look streets ahead. I’m a big fan of Pochettino,” he told The Mail.
“He gave Dele Alli a chance last season as a 19-year-old, when a lot of managers wouldn’t have had the courage or insight.”
What’s more impressive about Spurs is that their form comes without the injured Harry Kane, who has missed their last three games – all were wins regardless.
They certainly seem like a side capable of challenging for the title and righting the wrongs of last season, when an end-of-term capitulation saw their hopes of catching Leicester City peter out.
