Chris Hughton has given his first big interview following his appointment as Nottingham Forest boss, and he’s been speaking about transfers.
The ex-Newcastle manager told talkSPORT: ‘What I would like to do, by the time the window closes, is to have close to the best balance of squad that I can get.
‘I don’t see a lot of changes, but any opportunity of having the best squad that we can before that window closes, we will certainly look to capitalise on.’
Forest managed to land Jack Colback, Lyle Taylor, Harry Arter and Loic Mbe Soh in the transfer window.
Despite Hughton’s obvious reservations about being too revealing, it is encouraging to see him say that the club will capitalise on any opportunities that come their way before the October 16th deadline.
If the new man does want some fresh faces, he will have to act fast with just eight days until the domestic deadline. One player Forest have been linked with is Anthony Knockaert.

Sky Sports have reported that the French winger could be reunited with his former Brighton manager on a loan deal from Fulham.
Hughton truly has been thrown into the hotseat.
His arrival was announced by Forest on Twitter within the same hour that Sabri Lamouchi’s sacking was revealed.

The lack of gratitude shown towards the Frenchman didn’t go down well with Forest fans on Twitter.
In truth, there perhaps doesn’t need to be too many changes made to the squad.
After all, this is a side who finished seventh in the Championship last season with 70 points to their name, which isn’t bad at all.
