Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is attracting interest ahead of the January transfer window.

Brighton and Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has told West Sussex Today that he thinks Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is a ‘very good player’ amid transfer speculation.
The Seagulls have scored just once in their last six games, with five blanks further highlighting the need for new signings at the Amex Stadium.
Manager Hughton must bring in additional firepower during the January transfer window, and he may well be backed with the funds to do so.

The most recent transfer rumour surrounding Brighton involves Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Seagulls are preparing an £18million bid for the Frenchman.
Dembele, 21, joined Celtic from Fulham in a bargain deal back in 2016, and he responded by hitting 32 goals in 49 games last season, becoming one of the most in-demand young forwards in Europe.
Celtic kept hold of Dembele, and he has responded this season with eight goals in 18 games, further demonstrating his goalscoring prowess.

Now, Brighton boss Hughton has told West Sussex Today that he thinks Dembele is a very good player who he would probably like to sign, but he isn’t a Brighton player, so wouldn’t talk too much about him.
“He’s a very good player and has had a very good season but he’s not our player,” said Hughton. “He’s one of probably 100 names you could mention that if I had an opportunity to want them, then you probably would. But he’s not our player, like anyone else you could throw into the mix,” he added.
Hughton’s comments may suggest Brighton really are preparing a move for Dembele, but with the report also claiming that Everton are interested in landing the striker, the Toffees may just be sitting up and taking notice of Hughton’s comments ahead of the January transfer window.
