According to The Glasgow Evening Times, the Bhoys had to pay the Villans a transfer fee of £4.5 million in order to secure the services of the 27-year-old.
Celtic assistant boss Davies has spoken highly of the Englishman and has said that he is enjoying his football again.
“Scott is someone I know very well,” Davies told The Daily Record about Sinclair. “He’s done brilliant since he came here and he could definitely play in the Premier League still, 100 percent.
“But Scott is loving his football and he is someone that really values the life he’s got and really values playing at a club like Celtic.
“Just last week he said to me how for the first time in a while he is enjoying every game and every moment.”

Sinclair is a good player, and he has already established himself as a key member of the current Celtic team.
The former Swansea City and Manchester City winger recently became the first Celtic player since Jimmy McGrory to score in five successive league games for the Bhoys, as reported by Sky Sports.
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 13 points from five matches, three points clear with a game in hand.
The Glasgow giants are also playing in the group stage of the Champions League this season.
