Celtic and Ipswich Town are reportedly interested in Hibernian’s John McGinn in the summer transfer window.
Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies has suggested to Herald Scotland that he admires John McGinn of Hibernian.
McGinn has been on the books of Hibernian since 2015 and has a contract with the Edinburgh club until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The 22-year-old was instrumental in guiding Hibernian to promotion from the Scottish Championship to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
According to The Express, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers wants to secure the services of McGinn in the summer transfer window.
Ipswich Town, who feature in the Championship in England, are also claimed to be interested in the former St. Mirren youngster.

Celtic assistant manager Davies has praised McGinn, and has said that he admires the Scotland international.
“He’s a player I admire,” Davies told Herald Scotland about McGinn. “Yes, I think he’s a good player, but it’s not fair for us to start speculating on bringing this player or that when they belong to other clubs.
“He had a really good season last year and I’m aware of him being a really good player. That’s as far as that one goes. We know what we want and we’re working towards that.”

McGinn is a very talented and promising young midfielder, and the Scotland international would be a good signing for Celtic.
The 22-year-old has already shown what he is capable of, and moving to Celtic would help him raise his game even further.
