Swansea City, West Bromwch Albion and Crystal Palace have been linked with Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths in the January transfer window.

Leigh Griffiths of Celtic is seen during a training session at Lennoxtown on December 29, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Leigh Griffiths may have been overshadowed by Moussa Dembele at Celtic since the start of the 2016-17 season, but there is no doubt that the Scotland international is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership.

The 27-year-old striker is a proven goalscorer who has established himself as a key figure in Brendan Rodgers’s side, and there is no surprise that the former Livingston and Dundee has been linked with a number of clubs.

According to The Daily Mail, Premier League trio Swansea City, West Bromwch Albion and Crystal Palace want to sign the former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker.

The report has also claimed that Major League Soccer club Sporting Kansas City are interested in the Scotsman.

Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies, though, has said that Griffiths is happy at Celtic Park, and that there has been no bid for the 27-year-old striker.

Davies told The Scottish Sun: “Leigh’s happy, he’s a very important player to us. We’re very aware of his quality — and there has been no bid that I’m aware of.”

Griffiths is a very good striker, and it would not be a bad idea of Swansea, West Brom and Palace to make bids for him this month.

The Swans, the Baggies and the Eagles all are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, and they could do with a player of Griffiths’ quality.
