Daniel Arzani has been left out of the Celtic squad that will compete in the group-stages of the Europa League.

Arzani appeared to be one of the Bhoys’ most exciting additions of the summer as he arrived on a two-year loan almost immediately after he completed a permanent move to Manchester City.
But it has been a slow start to life at Celtic for the teenager. He has only recently made his reserve team debut – which did not go particularly well – and he has now been left out of the Bhoys’ 43-man squad for the group-stages of the Europa League. And Davies explained that his late arrival is a key reason why he is missing from the list.

“He is two weeks into his training program here, which is, in normal terms, still early pre-season.
“He still has a way to go to get up to speed but he has a two-year loan and we are going to support his development.”

It is a setback for Arzani who would have been hoping that he could make an immediate impact following his move to Celtic Park given that there was plenty of anticipation after his arrival.
There were still be excitement when he does finally get to make his first-team bow, but perhaps some of it will have been lost given that he has been deemed to not be up to speed at this stage. But perhaps he should look at the omission as motivation to make up for lost time when he does get a chance in the future.
