Sunderland face the daunting prospect of a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Black Cats boss Chris Coleman addressed the media for his pre-match press conference, ahead of his side’s trip to the Black Country to take on Wolves on Saturday, and delivered a somewhat concerning injury update regarding four of his key players, as quoted by the Sunderland Echo.
Sunderland are currently in real trouble, having taking just 14 points from their opening 20 Championship games this season, and sit precariously in 23rd position in the table, two points adrift of 21st placed Bolton Wanderers.
Wolves’ campaign, meanwhile has been the polar opposite, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men currently sitting comfortably at the top of the pile, four points clear of second placed Cardiff City.

Many fans and pundits are predicting a one-sided game at Molineux on Saturday, but the Championship is notorious for its’ unpredictability, and Coleman will be hoping that his side can upset the odds against Nuno’s men.
The Wearsiders will have their work cut-out though, with so many of their key men out injured.

The 47-year-old spoke to reporters, and provided an update on four of his currently crocked stars, as quoted by the Sunderland Echo:
“After last Saturday we have lost Brian Oviedo for 2-3 weeks. Paddy McNair is another week before joining in. Billy Jones joined in a light training session, so did Didier Ndong – but they are nowhere near ready to play. Both came though OK but not ready to be involved.”
The game kicks of at 15:00 on Saturday.
