“He did well – he’s looked very lively, very quick, and he’s going to be needed,” Coleman said.
“They are all going to be needed because we’ve got a few lads on the treatment table who are going to be there for some time and, with respect, they can’t help us at the moment.”
Asoro has shown promising form for Sunderland’s development side over recent years, and now seems to be on the verge of making a first-team breakthrough.
The prospect helped Sunderland pick up just their second victory of the campaign at the weekend, as Coleman’s new side won 2-0 against Burton.
Sunderland scored two late goals to pick up a hugely important victory at the Pirelli Stadium in their last match.
The Black Cats are now off the bottom of the Championship table, and just two points away from safety.
Coleman’s side are next in action against Reading at the weekend, when they will be looking to secure their first home victory of the season.
