Sunderland are next in action when they take on Fulham at the Stadium of Light.

Wales' manager Chris Coleman follows the game from the touchline during the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualification football match between Georgia and Wales in Tbilisi on October 6, 2017.

Chris Coleman has hinted to the Sunderland Echo that Aiden McGeady could be recalled to his Sunderland starting line-up very swiftly.

McGeady was left out of Sunderland’s team at the weekend, as they picked up an impressive draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

The Black Cats managed to hold the league leaders, to claim a point in the Midlands.

But Coleman has suggested that McGeady could come back into Sunderland’s team for their next match against Fulham, as he is likely to need more attacking flair.

“I’ll change the system and I’ll change personnel,” Coleman said. “It’s about everybody and everybody has to understand that.

“Maybe next Saturday the team and the shape will be different to this Saturday.

Aiden McGeady of the Republic of Ireland warms up prior to the FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifier between Republic of Ireland and Wales at Aviva Stadium on March 24, 2017 in Dublin, Ireland.

“I’m going to have to take a look at that but nothing against Aiden at all. He is a very creative player.”

McGeady has struggled at Sunderland of late, but he remains one of their most dangerous attacking outlets, when on form.

Sunderland’s draw with Wolves has lifted spirits at the Stadium of Light, but there is still a lot of work to be done.

Sunderland are currently in 23rd place in the Championship table, and sit one point away from safety.
