The 20-year-old midfielder has been affected with a thigh injury during his time at the Black Cats so far, although he played for the entire 90 minutes t the weekend.
The youngster featured for Sunderland in their 1-1 draw with Millwall away from home at The Den in the Championship this past Saturday.
Coleman has admitted that it has been hard for Ejaria at Sunderland due to injury and not playing enough first-team football prior to his loan move to the Stadium of Light in the January transfer window.
“Ovie’s come to us with a little problem with his thigh,” Coleman told Liverpool’s official website. “He’s played the first few games then missed a couple. He’s a good player.
“It’s hard for him because he’s come out of U23 football playing for Liverpool in games where they dominate and come to us, bottom of a brutal league, which is very physical, but he’s coped very well. He’s very brave in possession.
“He’s done well but there’s more to come from him. I think he’ll get better and better with the more games he plays but he’s a good player.”
Promising talent
Ejaria has made just eight first-team appearances for Liverpool so far in his career, and it was never going to be easy for the youngster at Sunderland.
The 20-year-old midfielder, though, has played well, and his performances for the Black Cats so far this campaign have been encouraging.
