Sunderland boss Chris Coleman takes charge of his first match this evening against Aston Villa.

New Sunderland boss Coleman has a tough job on his hands, and the North East side’s fitness problems are not proving helpful.
Sunderland are set to be without Jonny Williams and Duncan Watmore for months, with the pair on the sidelines.
And Coleman admits that having to lose two attacking talents is far from ideal for him.

“It’s tough because they played on Saturday,” Coleman said. “We have lost Jonny Williams and Duncan Watmore, two great problems for us. That’s what can happen, you have to try to break that cycle.”
Coleman knows Williams well from his time in charge at Wales, and the attacking midfielder may have been hoping that he would have played a key role under the former Fulham and Real Sociedad boss.

Williams, though, could require surgery on a shoulder injury which has proven to be very problematic.
Watmore, meanwhile, has only just come back from injury – but now faces more time on the sidelines.
Coleman will take charge of his first Sunderland match later this evening, when his new side take on Aston Villa at Villa Park.
