Chris Brunt reportedly criticised current West Bromwich Albion boss, Alan Pardew’s, tactics against Huddersfield Town.

Brunt felt that West Brom would be overran in midfield by playing a 4-4-2, and the veteran defender turned out to be correct, as Huddersfield won 2-1 at the Hawthorns.
West Brom are now considering parting company with Pardew, with the Baggies sat at the bottom of the Premier League table.

O’Neill is believed to be right at the top of the list of names in contention to replace Pardew, and Brunt would surely be happier with that appointment.
Brunt and O’Neill have worked together at national level, with the 48-year-old boss currently in charge of Northern Ireland.
And Brunt has always spoken highly of O’Neill. He said to the News Letter back in February: “I have really enjoyed every minute of it and Michael has done a fantastic job.
“It’s a really big feat for the IFA to keep him on. To be honest I’m very surprised he wasn’t linked with a lot of bigger jobs purely based on the success he had with us because when he took over we were 125th or so in the world and he took us up to 20th. That’s down to the way he does things.

“He knows what to do to get the best out of the lads that are there in order to try and win a game. He leaves no stone unturned concerning the opposition.”
Brunt may now be hoping that the rumours are true, and West Brom do consider bringing in O’Neill to replace Pardew in the near future.
