West Bromwich Albion’s Craig Dawson felt the full face of Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Saturday.
During an interview with Sky Sports, broadcast at 12:51 on December 21st, Baggies veteran Chris Brunt offered his take on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s dangerous late challenge on teammate Craig Dawson, and joked that it was no more than the West Brom defender deserved.
West Brom eventually lost the game 2-0, but Baggies boss Tony Pulis was not happy with the decision to show the Swede just a yellow card, rather than a red.

Brunt, though, had a different view of the incident to that of his manager, and told Sky Sports how it was about time that Dawson received a taste of his own medicine:
“Obviously he’s a big lad and he’s hit him quite hard. It probably looked a lot worse than it was. To be fair Daws does that to someone every day in training, so it’s probably about time somebody got him back.”
Dawson, 26, moved to the Hawthorns in the summer of 2010, and has since gone on to establish himself as a vitally important member of the West Brom first-team.

He has appeared in all but one of the Baggies’ Premier League games thus far, and his committed, full-throttle approach is exactly what Tony Pulis demands of his players.
But Brunt was just happy to see Dawson on the receiving end of that full-throttled nature for a change.
