Sheffield United are chasing Leeds United in the Championship promotion race.

Sheffield United defender Chris Basham has told The Sheffield Star that he is hoping to beat Leeds United later this month.
The Blades took on city rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Monday night, and were hoping to leave Hillsborough with all three points in order to boost their promotion chase.
However, the game ended in a 0-0 draw, with the two sides cancelling each other out in a game which produced just two shots on target.
It didn’t exactly do United much good, but a point away from home in a big derby is decent enough, and there are more big games coming.
United take on Rotherham United this weekend, and a week later comes a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United – their promotion rivals.
Chris Wilder’s men are currently just two points behind Leeds in the race for automatic promotion, and will be keen on revenge having lost 1-0 to the Whites in December.

Now, Blades defender Basham has admitted that he and the rest of the squad were ‘happy’ with Leeds’ recent 1-0 defeat at QPR, and hopes to use that as fuel to beat them themselves later this month.
“We have still got to go to Leeds yet and, hopefully, we can go there and beat them,” said Basham. “We were all happy with the Leeds result at QPR. It is just the way the games are going. Like the manager does, we are just focusing on ourselves,” he added.
