Reported Liverpool target Sebastian Walukiewicz has described a potential move to the Premier League as a ‘childhood dream’, while speaking to Meczyki.

With Jurgen Klopp reluctant to give away too much about his January plans, we are none the wiser about whether or not a new central defender will be posing for photos at Anfield between now and February 1.

Ozan Kabak, Sven Botman, Dayot Upamecano and co continue to be linked with a winter move to Liverpool, with Corriere dello Sport naming Walukiewicz as another potential target.

The 20-year-old Poland international only recently signed a new contract with Cagliari until 2024.

But you get the feeling that an offer from Liverpool – European Champions in 2019 and one of the most historic clubs on planet earth – would be difficult to turn down.

“Of course, I am glad that someone appreciates me, but I also know that there is still a lot of work ahead of me,” Walukiewicz said when asked about the interest in his services.

“I think I’d like to try something new. Some other league, life in another country. For sure whether La Liga, Bundesliga or Premier League are childhood dreams. I will strive for them.”

90Min reported a few weeks back that Manchester United, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also firm admirers of a classy centre-half who has forged a fine partnership with the legendary Diego Godin in Sardinia.
