West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has revealed he is not 100% sure he will have star striker at his disposal for Burnley.
The Hammers are sitting 15th in the Premier League table after just two wins from their opening seven matches this season.
Meanwhile their opponents on Saturday, Burnley, are up in the heady heights of sixth place having lost just one game so far.
It brings into stark contrast the difference in performance levels Bilic and Clarets boss Sean Dyche are extracting from their respective teams.
And as Bilic star as a manager begins to fade, Dyche’s is shining bright.
The two sides clash at Turf Moor but Bilic has admitted he might have to make do without star man Javier Hernandez, who was still in Mexico yesterday after a ‘personal problem’ while on international duty.
Chicharito was expected back in London overnight and Bilic told the club’s official website he expects him to make the trip up north but could not be 100% certain.
“The striker was given dispensation to leave the national squad before their second fixture due to a personal reason,” the club said on whufc.com.
“We are still waiting for Chicharito who is going to come back (to England on Thursday),” Bilic said.
“He wasn’t with us for a couple of weeks because of the Mexico games and all that so he will be back in training tomorrow.
“We have to bear in mind that Chicharito didn’t train with us and today is Thursday and we play an away game on Saturday and tomorrow we’ll be travelling he’ll only be in training on Friday, so we’re going to see… we’re going to decide what we’re going to do on Saturday, but I’m expecting him to be in the squad.”
