According to Business Insider, the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Wild Card game was shown exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, except for local broadcasts in Chicago and Green Bay.

Despite being streamed rather than aired on traditional TV, it still outperformed several network games from the same weekend — a clear sign of how much viewing habits have changed.

Back in 2015, the idea of streaming an NFL playoff game would have seemed risky. Broadcasters weren’t sure online platforms could handle the pressure of live sports at scale.
