Chelsea host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in the Premier League’s 17:30 kick-off.

Speaking to reporters following his side’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough yesterday, Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso fired a warning to Tottenham ahead of their crunch clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, as quoted by the Metro.
Antonio Conte’s men currently sit top the Premier League table, after a fantastic run that has seen them win six consecutive league games, without conceding a goal in the process.
The Blues host fifth placed Spurs on Saturday, in a contest that has a reputation for being fiery at the best of times, and Alonso warned Mauricio Pochettino’s men that his Chelsea side are determined to take all three points, as quoted by the Metro:
“We have to think, game by game, and now we have Tottenham at home. It is going to be a massive three points for us and we have to rest now and then start getting ready for Saturday. Lots of people say how big this match is, more than the players – it is the fans, who tell me. I know they always remind me that this London derby is special and hopefully we can get the three points on Saturday. I don’t like statistics about unbeaten runs, but hopefully we can keep winning at home against them.”
Alonso has been a revelation for Conte’s men since the Italian switched to a 3-4-3 formation following their 3-0 defeat at Arsenal in September, and has become an integral part of the Blues’ setup.

Chelsea have the added advantage of having a free week to prepare for the game, while Tottenham have to travel to Monaco for their crucial Champions League game tomorrow night.
With four points currently separating the two sides, Spurs absolutely cannot afford to lose if they are to keep pace with their London rivals at the top of the league.
