Hull City’s Jacob Greaves is currently on loan at Cheltenham Town.

Cheltenham Town manager Michael Duff has heaped praise on Hull City youngster Jacob Greaves as he tips the tall defender to be a big hit in the Championship in the near future, Hull Daily Mail report.
“He’s come in and he has a real chance to go on. If he [Jacob Greaves] keeps wanting to learn the way he does, he’s 6ft 3in, left footed and he can play,” Duff explained.
“I ended up doing all right in the game and I compare myself to him at 18 and it’s night and day. I think in the Championship, he’ll be playing regularly in 18 months to two years.”
Greaves came through the Hull academy and impressed for the development team before heading out on loan to League Two side Cheltenham Town until January.
Standing at 6ft 3inch, the central defender has the build to be competent in the air and strong in the tackle. But it’s his ability with the ball which also stands him in good stead for the future.
Hull manager Grant McCann has already labelled Greaves a special talent after the player featured for the full 90 minutes during a pre-season clash with French side Amiens.

The 18-year-old penned his first professional contract with Hull last April. He signed a one-year deal, but Hull have the option to extend that by another 12 months which they will surely do.
The Tigers’ financial situation places extra importance on bringing through the youth, and Greaves seemingly has a big future ahead of him which bodes well for the Championship club.
