The Chelsea youngster would be a fantastic addition to Everton’s squad.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman faces a busy summer ahead of him, as he looks to bolster his squad in pretty much every department, so they are capable of making a sustained push for the Champions League spots next term.
The Dutchman’s group of players is an ageing one, so the injection of youth, as well as quality, will surely feature highly on his agenda this summer.
Central midfield is an area in particular where Koeman needs to improve and refresh. With this in mind, Everton should consider a move for Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek in action
The powerful 21-year-old has never really been given an opportunity to shine at Stamford Bridge, and he has now reached the age where regular first-team action will be paramount to his development.
And with the strength-in-depth of Antonio Conte’s squad, it is very unlikely he will get that in West London.
The Toffees should take advantage of this, and test Chelsea’s resolve by making a permanent offer for Loftus-Cheek, rather than a loan approach that has been touted.
The England under-21 regular would be a fantastic asset to the Everton squad. His imposing physique would offer Koeman’s men a more physical edge, and standing at 6ft 3in, the midfielder would provide them with more of an aerial threat from set-pieces.

He is still under contract at Stamford Bridge for another four years, however, so Chelsea will surely still expect a fairly substantial fee, should they decide to sanction his exit.
With so many years ahead of Loftus-Cheek though, Koeman should not be scared to offer whatever it takes to bring him too Merseyside, because he genuinely has the ability to become of of England’s finest midfield players.
