Kalvin Phillips continues to make strides with the England national team, and Chelsea’s Reece James has made it clear what he thinks of the Leeds United star.
England are back in action this evening as they host Andorra at Wembley Stadium, with World Cup qualifiers continuing.
The Three Lions hammered Hungary 4-0 on Thursday night and will now look to at least match that scoreline against Andorra.
Leeds star Phillips will be looking to continue his excellent form for England, having really proven his worth during Euro 2020.
Some weren’t convinced by Phillips for England before that tournament, but he played a key role in helping England reach the final.
Chelsea defender Reece James – who may be hoping for a start himself tonight – has now offered a verdict on the Leeds man.
James and Phillips left the training pitch at St George’s Park hugging each other, before James pointed at Phillips and gave a brief verdict.
“Legend mate, legend,” said James.

It’s clear that Phillips is a popular figure in the England camp, which is part of why Gareth Southgate continues to pick him.
It’s great to see James being so positive about Phillips, as everybody is now seeing what Leeds fans have been raving about for years – both as a player and as a person.
Leeds fans probably feel a very similar way about Phillips as James, but will be warding James off from trying to tempt their star man into joining him at Chelsea!
