Manchester United are reportedly closely monitoring the Chelsea star.
Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic celebrates
The Daily Mail are reporting that Blues star Nemanja Matic is keen on a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford this summer.
The 28-year-old was brought back to Stamford Bridge by the Portuguese in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be in the region of £21 million, having been sold to Benfica for the same amount three years earlier.
The Serbian is a powerful player, and with his impressive distribution of the football, he would seemingly be the ideal fit for the Manchester United side, especially with Mourinho in the market for a midfield enforcer.
And the Daily Mail claim that Matic’s representatives have been in touch with the Red Devils boss, regarding a move Manchester, but any kind of potential deal will hinge on whether Roman Abramovic is willing to sanction the 28-year-old’s move to one of Chelsea’s fiercest rivals.

The midfielder has just two years remaining on his current deal with the Blues, and rather than tying him down to another long-term contract, now might be the right time for the west London outfit to part ways with Matic.
Whether he would be allowed to link up with Mourinho again, however, is debatable to say the very least.
