Everton should consider a move for the Chelsea ace.

Marco Silva, Manager of Watford looks on prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Watford at Goodison Park on November 5, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Marco Silva has a lot of work to do during this summer’s transfer window, if he is to guide his Everton side into contention for the top six places in the Premier League table.

One particular area where the Portuguese will want to improve is his centre-forward department, and an injection of pace and youth before the start of the new season will surely feature highly on his wish-list.

With this in mind, Everton should consider making a move for out-of-favour Chelsea front man Michy Batshuayi.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell with Borussia Dortmund after joining the Bundesliga side in January, scoring nine goals in 14 appearances in all competitions.

The German club have cooled their interest in completing a permanent move for the Belgium international, however, according to German media outlet Bild, and that might just leave the door open for the Toffees to swoop in.

With Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud currently at Chelsea, Batshuayi’s future at Stamford Bridge seems bleak to say the least, and a move to Everton could help reinvigorate his career.

Michy Batshuayi of Chelsea looks on during The Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round match between Chelsea and Newcastle on January 28, 2018 in London, United Kingdom.

The 24-year-old possesses blistering pace and his ability to run in behind the opposition’s defence would provide Marco Silva with an entirely different option through the middle.

Chelsea paid Marseille around £33.2 million for Batshuayi’s signature two years ago, but his struggles in west London should mean that Everton will be able to pick him up for a reduced fee this summer.

And if Silva does in fact manage to bring him to Goodison Park, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Merseyside outfit.
