Tottenham Hotspur reportedly were turned down by Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi earlier this month.

Spurs went to try and sign Batshuayi, and he could have been a great signing for Mauricio Pochettino’s side if they could have got a deal over the line.
Batshuayi rejected Spurs as he didn’t want to be a back-up option, but he would have been a brilliant reserve choice for Pochettino.

Tottenham have had to make do with using Fernando Llorente as Harry Kane’s main cover, and the Spaniard has struggled badly.
Llorente has hit just two goals in 23 appearances for Tottenham, and rarely looked up to scratch.
Llorente’s goalscoring record is in direct contrast to Batshuayi’s, which is strong, despite a lack of game time.

The Belgian forward has hit 12 goals in 26 games this season, despite only being 12 starts.
And he could have been a brilliant option for Spurs, if they could have completed a deal this month.
