Frank Lampard has suggested to Football London that he will pick Christian Pulisic again soon for Chelsea.

Pulisic joined Chelsea for big money earlier this summer, but his start at Stamford Bridge has been difficult.

The 20-year-old has failed to score in his first six games for Chelsea across all competitions.

Pulisic has now not been used in either of Chelsea’s last two games, against Wolverhampton Wanderers or Valencia.

Lampard even overlooked the American last night, as his side looked to get back into their game against Valencia.

But the Chelsea boss insists that his failure to bring Pulisic on does not suggest that he no longer has a role to play.

“He is in the plans, we have got the squad and the wingers to choose from, with Pedro’s experience in the Champions League it was a decision to make, but Christian is well in the plans,” Lampard said.

Chelsea actually went on to lose 1-0 to Valencia yesterday, in what was a disappointing start to their Champions League campaign.

It is also still far too early to be panicking over Pulisic, as he is still only 21-years-old, and a period of transition was always likely to be needed after he joined.
