Slaven Bilic must add some genuine quality to his Hammers squad this summer, if he is to guide his side back into contention for the Europa League spots next term.
Whatever West Ham fans say about Dimitri Payet, he was still one of the most creative players in the league, and losing him definitely led to a more impotent feel to their attacking play.
Manuel Lanzini picked up the tag as the Hammers’ creative spark after the Frenchman’s exit, but the East London outfit cannot to continue to rely solely upon one player to produce, week-in week-out.
With this in mind, Bilic should renew his interest in Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas, and make a bold move for the Spaniard this summer.

The Croatian was interested in signing the 30-year-old back in January, according to the Independent, and with his lack of game-time at Stamford Bridge, they could have an outside chance of convincing him to swap west London for east London.
The former Barcelona and Arsenal man would add so much to the West Ham side, and would certainly improve their attacking output.
Fabregas’ record of 107 Premier League assists is second behind only Ryan Giggs’ 162 in the all-time list, and that kind of creative quality could take the Hammers to another level.
His impeccable array of passing skills would help bring out the best in the likes of Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew, and his position in the team alongside Manuel Lanzini could see the Hammers become one of the finest attacking sides in the division.
The Spain international would also provide Bilic more options from a tactical perspective, with his ability to play the deep-lying midfield position, as well as the number 10 role.

His contract with Chelsea still has two years left to run, so he would obviously still command a fairly hefty transfer fee.
His wages could also prove to be a stumbling block, with Fabregas believed to be on around £150,000 per week. If all parties could reach some kind of compromise, however, it is a deal that has potential to be completed this summer.
The Blues man could help lead West Ham into a new era, and it is that kind of responsibility and pressure that he has thrived on throughout his career.
Whilst it must still be considered as an outside shot, with the opening of the transfer window just around the corner, this will certainly be one to keep an eye on.
