Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are willing to sell Newcastle United and Juventus target Timo Werner for €40 million (£33.42 million) in the summer transfer window, according to CMW.

Italian news outlet CMW have reported that Juventus are interested in signing Werner from Chelsea this summer.

The report has credited Eddie Howe’s Newcastle with interest in the Germany international forward as well.

The Telegraph reported this week that Newcastle are keeping a close eye on the 26-year-old former RB Leipzig star, described as “exciting” by former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia on the club’s official website in June 2020.

Could Newcastle sign Juventus target Timo Werner from Chelsea?

In our view, Newcastle United could struggle to sign Timo Werner from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Now, of course, we know that Newcastle are a big and established club in the Premier League.

But Juventus are a bigger club and are a global brand.

They are European giants, and Werner could see a move to the Bianconeri as a sideways step from Chelsea and perhaps even a step-up.

Juventus will aim to win the Serie A title next season and will also compete in the UEFA Champions League, and we think that the Turin club would be more appealing to Werner than Newcastle.
