Graham Potter’s Chelsea are interested in signing Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to The Sun.
Chelsea eye Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Chelsea will watch Pickford in action at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
The £110,000-a-week goalkeeper (SalarySport) is part of the England squad in Qatar.
Pickford is set to start for the Three Lions.
Chelsea reportedly want to sign a first-choice goalkeeper, as ‘Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy have yet to convince the new regime’.
The Sun have added that although Pickford is in talks with Everton over a new contract and is happy to stay, the Toffees could sell him to balance the books.
Chelsea, though, are not the only Premier League club who have an eye on Pickford.

The Telegraph reported in September that Manchester United are looking at the Everton star as well.
Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Everton are unlikely to sell Jordan Pickford in the January transfer window, but Chelsea could be able to sign the England international at the end of the season.
Pickford is the number one goalkeeper at Everton, who are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
The Toffees are unlikely to sell such an important player in the middle of the campaign.
