Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea have been linked with Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

According to 90min, Chelsea are interested in signing Jordan Pickford from Premier League rivals Everton.

The report has claimed that Chelsea are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper despite signing two new players for that position in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea sold Edouard Mendy, while Kepa Arrizabalaga moved to Real Madrid on loan in the summer of 2023.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Chelsea also brought in Đorđe Petrović from the New England Revolution.

90min has reported that the London club are still keen on signing another goalkeeper.

Chelsea hold interest in FC Porto star Diogo Costa and Valencia ace Giorgi Mamardashvili.

They are also tracking Everton and England international goalkeeper Pickford, according to 90min.

Chelsea could be able to sign Jordan Pickford from Everton

We do not think that Chelsea will be able to sign Jordan Pickford in the January transfer window, but they could be able to do a deal with Everton in the summer of 2024.

While Everton are a big club, they are unlikely to challenge for top honours or the Premier League top four anytime soon.

Chelsea are a bigger club who could end up in the Premier League top four this season.

They also have a recent history of competing and winning league titles and the UEFA Champions League.

Pickford is 29 now and is at the top of his game at the moment.

A move to Chelsea and compete for major trophies could be appealing to the £110,000-a-week (SalarySport) star.
