Ian Maatsen does not fancy a move away from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea amid interest from Burnley, according to a report.
According to Sky Sports, Burnley are interested in signing Ian Maatsen from Premier League rivals Chelsea on the final day of the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Burnley have agreed a deal in principle with Chelsea for Maatsen.
The deal would see the 21-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a winger, join Burnley on an initial loan deal, with the obligation to make it permanent for £31.5 million.
Sky Sports have added that it is now up to Maatsen to make a decision, and that the Netherlands Under-21 international wants to stay.
Ian Maatsen should leave Chelsea for Burnley
In our view, Ian Maatsen should leave Chelsea and join Burnley on the final day of the summer transfer window.
If Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle to offload Maatsen, then it shows that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners want to get rid of him.

If the Blues really thought that Maatsen could be a huge success at Stamford Bridge, then they would not have agreed to let him leave.
Maatsen has to consider this.
Burnley clearly want him and are ready to pay as much as £31.5 million for him in the future.
That shows their commitment towards Maatsen, not just for now, but for the coming years as well.
