Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Malo Gusto will undergo a medical at Graham Potter’s Chelsea today, which will come as a blow for Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Lyon right-back Gusto will undergo medical tests at Chelsea today before putting pen to paper on a contract with the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.
The 19-year-old France Under-21 international right-back will stay on loan at Lyon for the rest of the season.
This means that Tottenham are now about to miss out on a player they have been interested in.
FootMercato reported last week that Tottenham are among a number of clubs who are keen on securing the services of the France Under-21 international right-back.
There have been reports that Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte wants a better right-back/right wing-back than Emerson Royal.

Gusto was supposed to be an upgrade on the former Barcelona player.
However, it seems that it is Chelsea and not Tottenham who have managed to secure the services of Gusto.
Spurs are actually on the hunt for another right-back.
The Times have reported that Spurs are close to completing the signing of Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon.
