Chelsea could bid for Tottenham target Federico Chiesa
The Italian news outlet has claimed that due to injury problems at Chelsea at the moment, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are ready to launch a bid for Juventus and Italy international winger Chiesa in the January transfer window.
Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic suffered injuries during the Premier League match against Manchester City on Thursday evening, while Mason Mount is also on the sidelines.
Blow for Spurs
Chelsea’s reported interest in Chiesa will come as a blow for London and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
In December 2022, CMW reported that Tottenham head coach Conte dreams of signing the 25-year-old winger.
The plan for Tottenham is to make a bid for Chiesa next summer, according to the report.
However, it seems that Chelsea are keen on making a move now, and that will be a blow for Tottenham in their quest to sign the winger.
We do not think that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be willing to spend the kind of money that Juventus will want for Chiesa in the middle of the season.
