Graham Potter’s Chelsea are interested in signing Amadou Onana from Everton in the January transfer window, according to The Telegraph.
Chelsea linked with Everton star Amadou Onana
The report has claimed that Chelsea are showing interest in Onana, and believe that the Toffees could sell him due to FFP issues.
The Toffees ‘would be highly reluctant to sell Onana’, but Chelsea could bid for him in January, seal a deal, and then send him back on loan to Goodison Park for the rest of the season.
Former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea are reportedly looking at young players, including midfielders, for now as well as for the long term.

Could a January transfer happen?
In our view, Everton are unlikely to sell Amadou Onana to Chelsea in the final days of the January transfer window without keeping the £33 million (BBC Sport) defensive midfielder on loan for the rest of the season.
The Toffees are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
The Merseyside club will surely not sell as important a player as Onana now.
Chelsea, though, could be able to convince Everton into a deal if they keep the Belgium international at Goodison Park until the summer of 2023.
The youngster himself could be tempted to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
