A round up of key transfer stories about Chelsea this morning.
The Mirror has reported that Chelsea will go after Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain this winter.
The £48 million rated striker was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal last summer before moving to Serie A.
Chelsea could test the water with a big bid as boss Jose Mourinho looks to add firepower to the attack of his team.
Chelsea are also being linked with a £32 million double bid for Benfica pair Lazar Markovic and Nemanja Matic.
The same paper suggests Mourinho will look back to Portugal to boost his squad this January despite heavy interest and potential competition from Manchester United.
Matic was originally axed by Chelsea as part of the deal which saw them sign Brazilian defender David Luiz.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ruled out a move to try and re-sign Ashley Cole.
The Chelsea left-back moved from the Gunners to Stamford Bridge and there have been reports suggesting he could be on his way back to North London. Wenger has said there is no need to take him back to the Gunners.
“If there was a need at the left back situation, I would consider bringing him back, but I have no need,” said Wenger.
