Richard Keys says ‘Everton will be watching closely’ as rumours emerge about Chelsea possibly looking to sign Napoli hitman, Victor Osimhen for ‘£100 million+’.

Everton were recently hit with a ten-point deduction for a breach of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

It sent a shock wave throughout the Premier League and raised questions as to what will happen to the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, who have their own dark clouds over their heads.

But beIN SPORTS presenter Richard Keys suggested that those on Merseyside will feel a little aggrieved, especially if they watch Todd Boehly’s Chelsea continue to spend big, as he wrote in his personal blog.

Ever since the American took charge of the London club, they have spent like crazy, around the £1bn mark, and they don’t seem like stopping.

Victor Osimhen is a wanted man around Europe – especially by the big guns in the Premier League.

And with Chelsea in need of that number nine and talk about Victor Osimhen, it didn’t please Richard Keys.

Everton and Chelsea spending

“Oh, and I read that Chelsea are preparing a £100m+ January bid for Victor Osinhem,” said Keys.

“Having spent £1b under Todd Boehly – how? I’m sure Everton will be watching closely.”

Victor Osimhen – Premier League bound?

It’s probably a matter of time. He is a legend in Naples for helping Napoli secure their first title in three decades last season.

But the money is in the Premier League. A number of clubs can throw wads of cash at him.

And it wouldn’t be a surprise if he is playing for a team in England next season, it’s just a case of who?

Arsenal have also been admirers of the player and you would assume Champions League football will be needed to sign him – something Chelsea don’t have and they aren’t showing signs that they will finish in the top four either.
