Despite Chelsea holding a place in the top four and looking on course for Champions League qualification, there are rumblings about the manager’s future at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca has found himself under the microscope following an unusual post-match reaction after Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Everton.
Chelsea sources have suggested Maresca’s comments were more an emotional response to recent struggles, but he didn’t go out of his way to put any rumours to rest ahead of their trip to Cardiff.
Many fans are worried that removing him could make things worse, with a growing feeling that letting him go would be a mistake by the club.
Chelsea tipped to swap Enzo Maresca for Cesc Fabregas

If they do decide to make a change, the club is likely to stick with their trend of backing younger coaches, hoping they grow with the team.
Cesc Fabregas fits that profile well. He’s just started out in management and is currently in charge at Serie A side Como.
Clinton Morrison, speaking on Sky Sports, believes Fabregas would be an obvious choice if the club decided to make a change.
He said: “He’d be very good (Cesc Fabregas). He’s doing a great job at Como, and of course he used to play at Chelsea.”
How Cesc Fabregas has started his managerial career
Como are currently just outside the European places in Serie A, and only six points off the Champions League spots.
Last season, Fabregas guided Como to a win over Napoli where Romelu Lukaku managed just eight touches. That match included a first-half red card for Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste.
The ex-Chelsea and Arsenal man is already being linked with several top jobs, and plenty of people expect him to do well in coaching.
Fabregas has already spoken positively about Todd Boehly’s setup at Chelsea and could be interested in returning to one of his old clubs if the opportunity comes up.
