The Chelsea and England striker had a fruitful loan spell at Villa Park, helping Dean Smith’s side win the Championship playoffs and reach the Premier League.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has given his response when asked whether he would consider a return to Aston Villa in conversation with Sky Sports News.
The Blues ace enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Villa Park in 2018-19, scoring 26 goals in 40 Championship appearances and finishing as second top scorer (BBC Sport) as Dean Smith’s side finished in the top six and subsequently won the playoffs to return to the Premier League.
With Abraham having been on Chelsea’s books since being a youngster, he admits overall goal is to try and break into the first team – despite a prolific record during the loan spell at Bristol City, as well as the Blues youth teams, he still only has three Chelsea first-team appearances under his belt (Transfermarkt).
However, the 21-year-old has not ruled out a return to B6, stressing that “you can never say never” and hinting that he could be open to a return, presumably depending on how his prospective first-team chances at the West London appear going into the 2019-20 campaign.

“You can never say never,” he told Sky Sports News when asked about a return to Villa. “Chelsea is obviously the club that I have been at since a young so the aim is to try and break through there. Like I say, you can never say never. We’ll see how things look.
“I looked at both (teams’ Premier League fixtures), I was excited. It’s good to see Aston Villa in the Premier League so I still follow them on social media – I always look out for them as well.”
According to Transfermarkt, Abraham – who has been capped for England twice as well as having prolific stints at youth level for the Three Lions – is contracted to Chelsea until the summer of 2022.
