Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker is looking to make an impact in English football after two seasons in Holland [Goal].

The England Under-21 starlet impressed across the North Sea, scoring 20 goals and creating 11 in 73 games for Vitesse Arnhem, and is unlikely to be short of suitors if Chelsea cannot offer him the game time he requires next season.

Sunderland

With money said to be tight on Wearside, Sunderland may have to rely on loan signings to get them back in the Premier League. And having already been linked with moves for Chelsea trio Tammy Abraham, Izzy Brown and Bertrand Traore, Baker is sure to have come into the Mackems’ thinking. Sunderland’s managerial pursuit could affect things, however.

Nottingham Forest

New Forest boss Mark Warburton has already hinted at loan signings this summer, and may have his eyes on Baker after the Reds’ failure to replace Henri Lansbury’s goals from midfield in the second half of the season. Having said that, Forest starlet Jorge Grant could come back into contention after scoring six goals in 17 games on loan to city rivals Notts County.

Fulham

Chelsea have an excellent relationship with their west London rivals, who loaned Tomas Kalas and Lucas Piazon from Stamford Bridge this past campaign. And with Fulham talisman Tom Cairney – who scored 13 goals and assisted 12 throughout 2016-17 – expected to move on after the Cottagers’ play-off failure, a move for Baker would come as little surprise.
