Isaiah Brown scored the only goal as England’s teenagers beat their Albanian counterparts 1-0.
England’s Under-17’s have got their Elite Round section of the UEFA Under-17 Championship off to a very good start – and it is the Chelsea boys that are doing the trick.
In their first game against the Czech Republic they won 1-0 thanks to a strike from Dominic Solanke with the assist from Chelsea striker Isaiah Brown.
Yesterday saw Brown taking the lead.
The young striker is being compared to Didier Drogba in style – and was a controversial signing when The Blues snapped him up from Premier League rivals West Brom against The Baggies wishes.
But he is undoubtedly a top talent – and today he was in the right place at the right time – turning in a skewed effort from Tottenham Hotspur starlet Joshua Onomah for the first and only goal of the game in a 1-0 win against Albania.
They are now top of their group on six points ahead of a Sunday meeting with Italy – three ahead of both the Azzurri and the Czech’s.
But if the Chelsea boys keep on firing – England should be well on their way to topping the group.
